We have implemented energy-efficient systems, including heat recovery from our chill and cold rooms, to reduce waste and optimize resources. Our environmentally friendly smokehouse uses timber from PEFC-certified, sustainable forests, further reducing our carbon footprint.
We are also focused on waste reduction. Our staff are trained in water conservation and waste separation practices, helping us achieve higher recycling rates and reduce the amount of waste we send to landfill. By continuously setting and reviewing environmental targets, we ensure that sustainability remains a key focus in our business strategy.

Facilities
Kish Fish boasts state-of-the-art facilities, making it a leader in seafood production, processing, and distribution across Ireland. Our comprehensive operations include a fish processing factory that wholesales fresh and frozen seafood, a modern smokehouse, a production kitchen, four retail shops, and a café and restaurant. We handle the entire seafood journey, from ocean to plate, ensuring top-tier quality and sustainability every step of the way.
Our processing plant is equipped with cutting-edge equipment such as energy-efficient skinning, filleting, pin-boning, grading, and dicing machines, all designed to enhance productivity while maintaining exceptional quality. In our smokehouse, we use the latest technology, featuring energy-efficient, environmentally friendly smoking units fueled by sustainable timber, to create our award-winning smoked fish.
The production kitchen is outfitted with top-quality culinary equipment where our skilled chefs prepare a wide range of seafood dishes. We also have advanced cold storage facilities
with 24/7 digital temperature monitoring and produce over 1.5 tonnes of UV-filtered ice daily, ensuring product safety and freshness. Additionally, our retail shops utilize the latest technology for stock rotation, temperature monitoring, and digital systems to support seamless operations.
Our fleet of more than 20 refrigerated vans is managed through the advanced platform, optimising delivery routes to maintain cold chain integrity and reduce carbon emissions. All facilities are maintained to the highest hygiene standards, with rigorous microbial testing, and calibrated equipment to guarantee product quality and safety. Waste is responsibly managed, and fish by-products are recycled for animal feed, showcasing our commitment to environmental stewardship.
